The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to understand and integrate holistic/integrative concepts, particularly self-care, into their personal and professional practices. Topics in this seminar include the mind-body connection, conventional vs holistic/integrative health model, burn-out, holistic nutrition, holistic stress management, evidence-based coping and self-care strategies including humor and communication. Experiential sessions include guided imagery, a gratitude exercise, humor, deep breathing, interactive readings, music & movement, and “One Stone” meditation allow participants to experience wellness and stress management.
